Hey there, so I am an Instacart shopper and I just wanted to put it out there for customers as it was brought to my attention yesterday. I had an angry customer who said he had been waiting all day for his order and said he had never had much issue up until yesterday which made me feel awful but it was definitely NOT my fault.
We currently have two different work models going on which are not available to all and so some people are working by the hour and some by the job.
The shoppers that are working by the hour obviously are getting heavier workloads therefore more pay, whatever is left over from these shifts goes into on demand mode and is cycled through shoppers until somebody takes the order. Also could be an issue of low supply and high demand. I love ordering from my phone. The cost of delivery and tip is worth me not having to leave house and put miles on my vehicle or deal with aggravation of crowded stores.
I only had an issue one time - I ordered things for dinner it was about 5ish. It was about 2 hours in and no one started working on my order. We have therefore put together a few possible solutions so that you can download the Instacart app without any problems.
